It was built in 1862, The Old Golf House was once a clubhouse for the Outlane Golf Club, which was founded in 1906. It was originally called Lindley Golf Club but was given its present name soon after. The original clubhouse was out on the course near the old 6th hole, but it soon became inadequate.
The building itself captures the old-world charm, whilst the interior has seen extensive refurbishment in the bedrooms, meeting rooms, public areas, and easy access facilities.
